Volunteer Monitor Training Workshop…
Do you know someone who would like to become a StreamWatch volunteer? Are you already a volunteer, and you want to refresh your memory?
StreamWatch is hosting a volunteer stream monitor training workshop on Saturday, August 2, from 10am until 4pm in Charlottesville. The session will cover the fundamentals of stream biological sampling – catching and identifying aquatic invertebrates for the purpose of evaluating water quality and stream health. The training is free, but class size is limited. To reserve a space, or for further information about becoming a StreamWatch volunteer, contact Rose.
Virginia Citizens for Water Quality 2008 Summit…
When: August 9, 2008, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
Where: University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia
What: Time to meet with fellow volunteer water quality monitors to learn more and share successes
Cost: There is no fee for this event. Boxed lunches will be available at a cost of $9.00
