Family ID training for certified monitors…
Calling all certified monitors! Please RSVP for one of the following dates (if you have not already). This workshop is required for all certified monitors. It will be an opportunity for you to learn more family ID skills to use in the field. All of the workshops will be held at Ivy Creek Natural Area.

Carpooling…
As usual, there will be special gifts for people who carpool! (3 or more people per car)
Talent Show…
You know how much we like performances and prizes… To participate in the Talent Show, please come prepared with a 5 MINUTE song, poem, skit, or story about a wild, eventful, or horrific sample that you’ve taken. You’re encouraged to work in pairs or in groups. The volunteers with the best story/song/poem/skit will win a prize. The Talent Show will begin at 7:30pm.
Fall Monitoring…
If you can help with a sample, please see the dates below or contact Rose with your availability.
Reminders for Certified Monitors:
- Please begin your samples with a 1-second net, then adjust the other net times accordingly.
- Please consult the revised Sampling Instructions
- Don’t forget to preserve ALL worms
- Use the most up-to-date Data Sheets
- If you need to borrow equipment, go to the StreamWatch shed at The Nature Conservancy. The combination is 22-12-2.
