Fall Volunteer Jobs …

StreamWatch Bookkeeper:
StreamWatch is outgrowing its spreadsheet-based accounting system, and is searching for a volunteer who can transfer our books into a Windows-based accounting program and perform bookeeping services into the future. The time required for the initial transfer will depend on procedural choices; we may be able to provide a volunteer team if manual data entry is necessary. Ongoing bookkeeping will require about 1 to 2 hours per month. If you are a bookkeeper or an accountant, please consider volunteering for this essential task!

Party Planner:
We need help planning and/or cooking food for our annual party on November 15th.

Data Entry:
Join us in the office, using your choice of database. We need volunteers to enter contact information in Filemaker (immediate project) and benthic data in Access (sometime in October). Training and guidance will be provided. No experience necessary.

Lab Volunteer:
We always have lab work to do, so please contact Rose if you are interested in seeing the finer details of the bugs.

Stream Samplers:
Have we mentioned yet that this fall is going to be one of our busiest seasons ever?! Starting on 10/1, we have 90 days to take 50+ samples. If you have time to lend some hands, please help with a couple of samples. If you are certified, please consider leading your own team (site and helpers will be provided). Contact Rose with your availability or keep an eye on the Potential Volunteer Dates.
